Pacific Basalt and
Arctic Mica Stone
Basalt Stone and Mica Stone are both volcanic rock from different regions of the
world.  The fact that they are both volcanic is the only similarity.  Both are very
special stones with spectacularly different effects.

Our Basalt columns come from the Pacific Northwest, Mt. St. Helen mountain
range.  They call Basalt stone "Earth's Crystals" because of nature of the fine
matrix created by rapidly cooling melted magma.

Basalt solidifies in the upward vent of the volcano and then over time erosion
exposes the hexagonal chards ready to be quarried. The natural colors range
from rust to gray and are very organic and structural.

Basalt comes in columns of varying sizes with natural or polished tops.  There
are also natural quarry stones available ... all can be drilled as fountains or left
natural for sculpture stone formations.

The furniture and paving stones made from Basalt are spectacular

Mica comes from the Arctic Circle in Canada and sparkles like diamonds in the
sun.  Many are veined with solid quartz crystal.  The colors range from a silvery
black to green and even pink.

Mica comes in a variety of sizes, from large core-drilled specimen stone to wall
stone, gravel and stone veneers.  It is breathtakingly beautiful!
